Ihme was chosen from the Noita x Kaaos litter to stay with us as a puppy, and the whole litter was actually made for that purpose, so that a puppy could stay with us. Ihme caught my attention as a puppy because she was very interested in herding animals, but at the same time, she was also very people-oriented. She was most attached to me and climbed out of the puppy pen into the pasture after me when she was only 6 weeks old.

Now, at 1 year old, Ihme is quite a good mix of her parents. From Kaaos, she has inherited an addiction to sheep, eye control, and intensity, while from Noita, she has gained intelligence, sensitivity, handler softness, and obedience. We have started herding training, and Ihme shows incredible self-control, understanding of sheep, and confidence with animals. She still easily takes too much pressure from the handler and is very sensitive to me, which is actually quite positive! We have also started agility, and Ihme is fast, manages her body well, and has already learned to read the course and listen to verbal cues. I couldn't be happier with our progress in both herding and agility!

In everyday life, Ihme is the lowest in the pack and very submissive to our other dogs. She is greedy and easy to motivate with food rewards as well as toys. On walks, she is somewhat interested in scents, and she and Kaaos often run quite far ahead with their noses to the ground, but she comes back very well when called. Ihme is social and happy with other dogs and during my herding lessons she has learned that the dogs of the trainers are great playmates, and she happily romps around the field with new friends. She was a bit shy when growing up, but now she has really blossomed into a wonderfully social dog!

So far, Ihme has been completely healthy, with a good stomach and no itching, sensitivities, inflammations, etc. We have only visited the vet for vaccinations and at the 6-month check-up, where nothing concerning was found (hips, elbows, and shoulders were X-rayed) as well as 1-year old official health checks where she was found to be pretty much perfect in all chekced areas as well! I can't wait to start trialing with this little firecracker, and I hope she will also make a great addition to my breeding program in the future!
